A bug report is far easier to act on with the tool you were using, what you did, what happened, and what you expected instead. The browser and operating system help too, since several of these tools lean on browser features that differ between them.

Please do not attach the file that caused the problem unless asked. These tools exist specifically so your files stay on your machine, and sending one by email undoes that.

Requesting a tool

Suggestions are welcome, particularly for small, self-contained jobs that a browser can do without uploading anything. The useful part of a request is the problem you are trying to solve, not the feature you have in mind for it.

Rights holders and takedowns

If you believe one of these tools is being used against your rights, write to the address above with the details and it will be looked at promptly. Note that the tools here process whatever a visitor supplies and nothing is hosted on their behalf — there is no library of content to remove.

Response time

This is not staffed. Expect a few days, and longer at weekends. A message that is unclear or hostile will probably not get one at all.
